April 2018 Customer Dispute
- Status: Settled
- Allegations: Claimant alleges that her advisor recommended unsuitable investments in “risky” and “speculative” investments. Claimant alleges negligence, misrepresentation, failure to supervise, and breaches of duty and contract.
- Damage Amount Requested: $80,000.00
- Settlement Amount: $24,000.00
- Broker Comment: I disagree with, and strongly deny, claimant’s allegations. Claimant was fully aware of, and understood, any and all risks associated with her investments. I was surprised and disheartened to learn she has made these allegations. Overall, her investments were properly diversified and have performed well. I have not misrepresented any facts to this client. This matter has been settled and no longer in arbitration.
