FINRA Complaint: Alpine Securities Corporation
On August 21st, 2019, the FINRA Department of Enforcement filed a complaint against Alpine Securities Corporation (Disciplinary Proceeding №2019061232601). According to this complaint, the brokerage firm was facing serious financial problems in the Summer of 2018. In response to its financial struggles, Alpine Securities Corporation allegedly took a number of different steps that were against industry rules and that put customer assets at risk. Among other things, FINRA complaint states that Alpine Securities Corporation:
● Implemented a series of exorbitant and arbitrary fees;
● Engaged in unauthorized trading; and
● Converted and misused customer assets.
In relation to this complaint, the FINRA Department of Enforcement is seeking all appropriate legal remedies — including the finding of facts and conclusions of law, immediate injunctions to prevent further abuse, payment of restitution, and any other sanctions deemed warranted.
