Former Summit Brokerage advisor Christopher S. Jorgensen (CRD#: 1919475) has been barred from FINRA for failure to provide FINRA with requested information.
Jorgensen has 28 years of experience with six firms, most recently with Summit Brokerage Services (2012–2017) of Setauket, NY; Raymond James Financial (2008–2012) of Smithtown, NY; and Citigroup Global Markets (2000–2008) of Hauppauge, NY.
According to Jorgensen’s FINRA BrokerCheck profile, in April 2018, a customer filed a dispute against Jorgensen alleging unauthorized trading, trading frequency, and overconcentration.
The client requested damages in the amount of approximately $125,000. The case went to arbitration and was settled for $70,000.
In October 2017, while also with Summit Brokerage, Jorgensen was accused of unsuitability, excessive trading and failure to follow verbal instructions, with requested damages in the amount of $50,000. The dispute was settled for $10,000.
In May, 2017, Jorgensen was sanctioned by FINRA for refusing to appear and provide on-the-record testimony at a FINRA hearing.
While Jorgensen was employed by Raymond James in December 2011, another client accused Jorgensen of excessive trading and unsatisfactory investment performance. Damages were requested in the amount of $26,000 and settled for approximately the same amount.
Previously, while Jorgensen was with Citigroup of Hauppauge, NY, a client verbally alleged unsuitability of investments from 2001–2003, with requested damages totaling $52,000.
The dispute was settled for $37,000.
FINRA records show that in 2016 an IRS tax lien was filed against Jorgensen for $7,000.
