Eric Silvestre, Formerly of JP Morgan, Resigned While Under Internal Investigation

Silvestre allegedly exercised discretion in non-discretionary investment accounts, among other misconduct.

Eric Silvestre (CRD#: 3171573) voluntarily resigned from JP Morgan in August of 2019 following an internal investigation into him for allegedly exercising discretion in non-discretionary investment accounts and marking those trades as unsolicited. 

Also in August 2019, Silvestre was the subject of a customer dispute alleging unauthorized trading. The customer is seeking $2 million in damages. The matter is still pending. In October 2019, Silvestre was named in another customer dispute alleging unauthorized trading. The matter was settled for $47,217.54. 

Silvestre was employed by JP Morgan from 2012 to 2019. He is currently employed by Western International Securities. 

Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Silvestre’s customers.
