Pamela Denise Lawson (CRD: 1475253) was registered as a broker with Lawson Financial Corporation, where she was employed from 1986 until 2017.

Stat. § 517.301; negligence/due diligence; negligence/suitability and overconcentration; control person liability under Section 20 of the Securities Exchange Act; negligent supervision; and common law fraud.

Lawson authorized and engaged in self-dealing arrangements that benefited herself, the other trustee, her member firm, other companies that the other trustee controlled, and third parties to the detriment of the trust by making more than $14 million in payments from the trust’s account.

Regulator Statement: Without admitting or denying the allegations, Lawson consented to the sanctions and to the entry of findings that she breached her fiduciary duties and ethical obligations owed to a trust, as a co-trustee, by failing to place the interests of the trust above her own interests. The findings stated that Lawson authorized and engaged in self-dealing arrangements that benefited herself, the other trustee, her member firm, other companies that the other trustee controlled, and third parties to the detriment of the trust by making more than $14 million in payments from the trust’s account. Lawson’s actions enabled her to use, control and dissipate the assets of the trust in a manner that harmed the trust.

Broker Comment: FINRA has come to several erroneous conclusions during this investigation which will be clarified during the hearing.
