Broker Investigation: Ricky Mantei of Centaurus Financial

Ricky-Mantei-Centaurus-FinancialRicky Mantei (CRD#: 1098981) is a registered broker and investment advisor. Since 2015, Mr. Mantei has been associated with Centaurus Financial in Lexington, SC.

Previously, he also worked for J.P. Turner & Company (2010 to 2015) and GunnAllen Financial (2008 to 2010).

Last year, three Centaurus Financial customer filed complaints against this broker.

Investor Complaints: Centaurus Financial Broker Ricky Mantei

On May 21st, 2018, an investor filed a claim alleging losses related to unsuitable investment recommendations. The investor is seeking $100,000 in compensation.

On October 25th, 2018, a Centaurus Financial customer filed a claim alleging financial damage related to investments that were unsuitable based on stated investment objectives. The investor is seeking $233,238 in compensation.

On November 14th, 2018, an investor filed a claim alleging, among other causes of action, unsuitable investment losses. This customer is also seeking $100,000 in damages.

In all three cases, Mr. Mantei provided a comment to FINRA indicating that he vehemently denies all allegations of wrongdoing. He stated that he plans to vigorously defend the claims.
