Nancy Glassman, Morgan Stanley Broker, Hit with Customer Dispute Alleging Unsuitability

Accused of unsuitability by three clients, two of which were settled

Nancy Glassman (CRD# 1734992) is a currently registered broker and investment adviser. Since 2017, Ms. Glassman has been a registered representative with Morgan Stanley, based in New York, New York.

In May, a customer dispute was filed against Ms. Glassman alleging unsuitability with respect to the managed account between February 2018 and May 2019. The complaint requested $48,000 in damages, according to her BrokerCheck report.

Ms. Glassman has been subject to two customer disputes in the past, both of which were settled. In December 2000, a client alleged unsuitable investments in two funds. According to a broker comment, the client in that transaction was given informational brochures and signed off on the investments. Ms. Glassman categorically denied the claims in the complaint. It was eventually settled for $30,625.

The other dispute is from November 23, 2009, when a customer alleged unsuitable investment recommendations and misrepresentations. The matter was settled for $22,500, however, a broker comment indicates that the client was a sophisticated investor with whom the investments were discussed before any action was taken.

Prior to her registration with Morgan Stanley, Ms. Glassman was a most recently employed by UBS Financial Services (1994–2017) and Austin Securities, Inc. (1991–1994).
