Pedro Luis Gonzalez Seijo (CRD# 2812912) is a previously registered broker. From 2009 to 2016, Mr. Gonzales-Seijo was a registered representative with Transamerica Financial Advisors, Inc., based in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

In May of 2016, Mr. Gonzalez-Seijo voluntarily resigned from his position with Transamerica following allegations that unauthorized check withdrawals were made from two clients’ variable annuity contracts and subsequently deposited in an unauthorized account.

Last year, Mr. Gonzalez-Seijo was convicted of bank fraud and securities fraud, according to his BrokerCheck report and a filing by the Securities and Exchange Commission. The case started when he was indicted on 11 counts of securities and bank fraud.

Mr. Gonzalez-Seijo apparently diverted money from his clients by depositing their checks, which they intended for their variable annuity accounts, into a bank account of his own for personal use. He also withdrew money from his clients’ funds and deposited that in his own account as well. Following his conviction for his conduct, he was permanently barred from the securities industry.

Mr. Gonzalez-Seijo’s BrokerCheck report contains two other disclosures, both customer disputes. One, from March 31, 2016, alleged that Mr. Gonzalez-Seijo made unauthorized withdrawals. It was closed with no action. The other dispute, filed March 18, 2016, made the same allegations but is still pending.
