Robert Buffington, Formerly of Aegis Capital, Named in Multiple Customer Disputes Alleging Unsuitable Investment Recommendations

Robert Buffington (CRD#: 5220332) was most recently employed as a broker with Aegis Capital Corp. from 2010 until 2019. Previously, Buffington was registered as a broker with Gunnallen Financial from 2008 until 2010.

• Broker Comment: “RR denies the customer’s allegations of wrongdoing. Customer opened non-discretionary account, authorized all transactions, and remained in control of the account at all times. All transactions were suitable. Upon belief, customers were solicited and encouraged to sue by “asset recovery firm.” RR received no complaint from the customer about the account prior to receiving the “asset recovery firm’s” statement of claim. The claims will be vigorously defended. RR had no prior customer complaints in his over a decade long industry career, will seek expungement and an award of fees and costs.”
